Leaving at 8am, we got to Burbank right on time. Early, in fact. So early that we were bumped to an earlier flight out to SF, so that we would be on a less crowded plane, and have more time in between flights. Except that once on the plane, we waited until 10, when we were told that the plane was leaking hydrolic fluid. It turned out to be nothing, and we were on our way… a mere 5 minutes ahead of our original flight. Until Burbank airport lost all radar. That took a while, to get back and then we were on our way to SF.
Thankfully, the flight home from SF was a tad late getting in, and the only real damage was the $8 sandwich in the airport. Got home safe and sound, then went to Salem to pick up Leo. He was happy to see us. Pictures are coming, I promise.
Had to hop servers. Thanks to Ari’s deft maneuvers, we were able to get everything up and running again with very minimal downtime. Not that anyone would ever notice. With that out of the way… 12 days until I get to head back to Sunny California!
I got Tim and Ann’s wedding gift all sent out, and we’re having Ben and Sheena watch the hound for a week. The kitties will be taken care of at home. All hands on deck, set sail for In-N-Out Burger!
I had to go get Tender some cat chow, and I saw this on the bag. You mean you can feed the cat every day??

All of the kittens have been fixed and gone to their new homes. Tender is staying with us. He thinks I am his mother since I’ve been feeding him his entire life and I was the one he saw when he opened his eyes. He had not eaten solid foods until this week, when he decided to break down and inhale some ground turkey.

We took Leo to the dog park. He seemed to love it, but he was not all that active, and there were some really aggressive lab mixes there. I was told they sometimes have a “greyhounds only” day where he can socialize with some of his grey family. Summer is almost here.
Bianca, the one eyed kitten, is proving how Siamese she is. She’s been running all over the place trying to eat anything that isn’t nailed down. Trying to chase anything string-related. She also has a completely unhealthy fascination with walking on my iBook while I’m trying to type. For some reason she thinks the power cord is the tastiest thing in the house.
We should get around to putting up the lights and decorating our tree tonight. It’s been sitting in the living room just being green and drinking a ton of water.
